I blame the Jack in the Box "Sriracha Burger" commercials. I see them everywhere, and I've started craving one. The other night after the gym, I just wanted a little hamburger - just some beef since I'd been eating chicken or veggies all week. So I go through the McD's drive thru and get a double jalapeno burger. Granted I had to take some of the jalapenos off since it was literally a full layer of them on the damn thing, but it was rather tasty.
The other night with Jon S, I asked for jalapenos. Jon was surprised and said, "Who are you and what you have done with my friend?"
I would blame PMS since I used to go through the Del Taco drive thru and get fried jalapeno slices during powerloss, but that was over earlier this month.
Is it heard of that someone's sense of taste evolves into something more when they get older? I know tastes change as time goes on - like how I didn't care for avocado when I was young but now I love it - but with heat? Spice?
I'm not holding my breath. Just because some of the hot things that I've eaten recently haven't killed me, that doesn't mean I'm ready to do shots of lava or anything.
In the meantime I will continue to attempt sleep... then work... then the gym. Then we'll see where this pseudo spicy kick is going.
Later my lovelies.
